SRM's Observatory on Tourism reaches its third edition. The Report analyses the recent evolution of the sector in Italy and the south, highlighting record numbers, post-pandemic dynamics, but also structural challenges and new growth opportunities. The topics covered range from tourism demand, both international and domestic, to the competitiveness of Italian regions in the European context, and the economic, employment and social effects of the sector.

A specific focus is dedicated to the key role of technologies, sustainability and the enhancement of Inner Areas, considered strategic levers for a more balanced, innovative and quality tourism development, particularly in Southern Italy.
